Based on the third version SNK's popular Metal Slug arcade games, this side-scrolling shooter comes to the Xbox with a number of enhancements. Though the gameplay remains 2D, the action unfolds against 3D-modeled backgrounds. Also true to the series' established style, the Metal Slug 3 juxtaposes cute, cartoonish characters with explosive, fast-paced warfare. New vehicles in the Xbox edition include the "Slug Copter" and the "Elephant Slug." Subscribers to the Xbox Live online service can even have their high scores uploaded to the Metal Slug 3 leaderboards.
